Feb 6 - Last Day In Antarctica

Image
It was a beautiful sunny day In Antarctica and we enjoyed every minute. We did a zodiac ride in the morning and another in the afternoon. The building in orange is. Rescue hut that can be used by anyone in need of shelter. It can hold 12 people for many months if necessary. We did see a Leopard seal so that was fun. We also saw the skeleton of a huge whale up on the beach. Not sure how old it was but probably 100 years. It was kind of sad since it was our last day - but still exciting.

Crossing the Antarctic Circle

We crossed 66 degrees 33 minutes South today at 6 AM. This is the Antarctic Circle which is a big deal. We took the polar plunge and then the Neptune ceremony which closes kissing the fish!! Quite a special day.
